Amazon announced on 6/10/19 that Monday the 24th will be the last day that they are delivering hot meals via Amazon Restaurants. Apparently, the Big 4 (Doordash, Grubhub, Postdates and Uber Eats) have 93% of the national market and Amazon has only 2%. Amazon was only in about 20 metropolitan areas and some competitors are in 2,000 or more cities. It is sad to me personally that they are giving up on this as I got some nice tips from delivering meals for them.

They still do have other types of deliveries that offer tips (Prime Now (generic groceries) and Whole Foods (high end groceries). And, of course, there is always their Logistics (package delivery) business, but there are no tips for delivering packages. Oh well, time to look for another gig to get back that income I will lose soon...

Haha! I didn't even know they were in the restaurant delivery business.

So, did they actually give you the full tip - without deducting it from what they were going to pay you?
