How much can you earn renting your car on Turo?

Turo has a cool earnings calculator here where you can tell it about the make and model of your car and it will spit out an estimated earnings figure.

Here are a couple of examples. If you own a 2018 Sonata, they say you can make around $383 per month in New Jersey. (Based on 8.2 days booked per month). But if you own a 2014 Sonata, they say you can make $477 a month. I'm not sure why. They give the 2014 a daily price of $56 compared to a daily price of $63 for the 2018 model. Maybe the more expensive the car the fewer days it rents per month? Anyway, it's a lot less than I expected.

If you have a 2018 Lexus ES-350, they say you'll make $557 a month in Los Angeles, getting booked 11.2 days on average. But if you own a 2014 ES-350 in LA, they say you'll earn $410.

They honestly don't sound that busy if they're estimating you'll only rent your car out 8-11 days a month.
