Is this a sign that saner people have seen the end of the tunnel for the scooter business? Two top executives hired by Lime a year ago have just resigned from the company. One of the executives was Scott Kubly who was a former transportation chief in Seattle and Chicago. You would think someone like that would have a very sane and knowledgeable take on this business. The other was Emily Warren who was a Lyft policy executive for quite some time. Her job was to focus on winning friends in local and state governments for the scooter startup.

I'm wondering if the transportation chief, Kubly, maybe realized this is a dead-end business. Surely if anyone could see it, it would be someone with his experience.

Hmm, that's a good point. Perhaps that was another reason that CEO Travis decided to resign from Uber.

Still though, it's a bad omen for the entire scooter business. Though now that Uber has their claws in it too, we'll see where it goes.
